"Hasler Brothers of Bastrop is great."  October 11, 2009 - Likes it - This restaurant is great... there is no comparison. We try to eat at Hasler a couple of times a month and the food and service only gets better. I have eaten at Sullivan's, Eddie V's and Perry's in Austin. Hasler's steaks are comparable and at a better price. The crabcakes at Hasler Brothers are the best I've had...anywhere. Gabriel is awesome and if you like nice music Ollie Shirley plays a great piano. I hear they are making plans for New Year's Eve, which is great for those of us who want to stay close to home. Hasler Brothers is a great restaurant, but don't take my word for it. Form your own opinion.
